Family
We support everyone as though they are part of our family. We look out for one another, offering support, respect, and trust in every interaction.
Pet Food Experts began in 1936, when Herbert “Salty” Baker sold tropical fish and aquarium supplies from his home in Rumford, Rhode Island. Today, that family business supports more than 10,000 retailers nationwide with a broad portfolio of brands and a network delivering fresh, frozen, and everyday pet products.
Growth hasn't changed what matters most: Pet Food Experts is in the people business. Retailers, brand partners, drivers, warehouse teams, and office teams work together to serve their communities—and help pets and the people who care for them thrive.
Looking ahead, Pet Food Experts will keep investing in its people, partnerships, and distribution network to help independent retailers and brand partners grow and strengthen the pet specialty community.
